Holly

Yellow Flower

It would be impossible to write Holly into a page. She was so many things to so many people; a daughter, friend, aunt, wife, colleague and an exceptional human. She loved to laugh, share, give, inspire and learn. Holly’s determination and passion led her to work with and teach young people with Autism, and she was driven by the desire to ensure that every young person received an education that empowers them. She affected the lives of everyone she met, and her sudden departure left her community in tatters. Holly fought a short battle with depression, one that many people close to her weren’t aware of. Although she loved to talk and listen, she would rarely talk about herself. Hopefully this page will continue to grow as we navigate our grief and try to find more words.

She is Gone

Anonymous

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she'd want:smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
